AUBMC Physiotherapy Department Activity
Friday December 4, 2009
It was a nice surprise for all CCCL patients and staff when a group wearing Halloween costumes festively entered the center chanting and walking around distributing candies on December 4, 2009. Staff from the Department of Physiotherapy at AUBMC wanted to celebrate Halloween with all floors at the hospital including CCCL.

Sat7 TV Channel Activity
Wednesday December 9, 2009
Staff of “Mail W Email” program on Sat7 TV channel wanted to celebrate Christmas with CCCL kids. They visited the CCCL on December 9, 2009. Kids at the inpatient and outpatient units enjoyed singing, storytelling, entertainment activities and gifts.

“Association des Anciens de la Filière Francophone de Droit” Activity
Wednesday December 9, 2009
Members of “Association des Anciens de la Filière Francophone de Droit” celebrated Christmas with CCCL kids. They visited inpatients on December 9, 2009. Magician Dany was there to entertain kids. Later, CCCL patients enjoyed singing and doing hand crafts along other entertainment activities. The group distributed souvenir gifts to the kids.

The Real Santa Claus at the CCCL!
Solidere Activity

It’s not every Chrsitmas that the real Santa visits the CCCL but this year was different! Crossing all the way from Lapland, Santa’s village in Finland, to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, Santa, his elves and the famous Mini Studio characters were able to bring joy to the hearts of CCCL kids, on December 11, 2009.
After distributing gifts, patients enjoyed the performance of Mini Studio characters and sang with them. They also had the opportunity to take nice pictures with Santa.
Everyone at the CCCL, and especially the patients, would like to thank Solidere officials and staff for their support and for making this event a true bliss to our dear kids.

USJ students Activity

Students from Saint Joseph University (USJ) visited the kids on December 16, 2009 to play with them and distribute gifts and candies.

Starbucks Activity
Friday December 18, 2009
A group of staff from Starbucks visited the kids on December 18, 2009 to celebrate Christmas with them. Patients enjoyed the entertainment activities, animation and of course Santa and the gifts.

“Pastoral Universitaire” – USJ Activity

Members of “Pastoral Universitaire” USJ branch visited CCCL Inpatient Facility on December 19, 2009. The kids enjoyed the visit of Santa Clause and the gifts. The group played music as well.

“Pastoral Diplomaire Universitaire - PDU” Activity

Members of “PDU” visited CCCL Inpatient Facility on December 20, 2009. They distributed Christmas gifts and chocolate for the kids and did entertainment activities.

Mc Donald’s Lunch

As is the case every year, and as part of celebrating World’s Children’s Day, Mc Donald’s in Lebanon launched its campaign in support of the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) on the 20th of October 2009 till the 20th of November 2009.
Four different stories were sold in all McDonald’s’ branches during the campaign for the price of 1,000 LBP.
As a result, Mc Donald’s representatives organized a lunch in McDonald’s Ain Mresseih for the patients on December 22nd.

Resident Staff Organization at AUBMC “RSO” Activity

As every Christmas, a group from RSO visits all floors at AUBMC chanting Christmas carols and distributing gifts. Residents enjoy being with patients as Santa Claus and not doctors for one day each year.

Members of Saydet Bchara Church Pastoral – Jal El Dib visited CCCL inpatient on December 23, 2009. They performed entertainment activities and distributed gifts for the kids.

Members of Roteract visited the inpatients on December 26, 2009 to perform entertainment activities for the kids, play music and distribute gifts.

“Cup of Cold Water” CCW Group Activity

Members of “CCW” group visited the kids on the inpatient and outpatient units on December 28, 2009. Kids enjoyed the music, songs, entertainment activities and gifts distributed by the group.

Lebanese Medical Students International Committee “LeMSIC” – Standing Committee of Public Health “SCOPH”Activity

As every year during Christmas, members of LeMSIC visited the inpatients on December 28, 2009 to perform entertainment activities and distribute gifts. Patients were happy to welcome Santa and sing with the group.
 

CCCL Annual Christmas Party Tuesday December 29, 2009 This year our Christmas party took place on December 29th, 2009.The entertainment was once more provided by the Dent de lait group thanks to the unwavering generosity of its owner Mrs Lamiss Idris. Mustapha Yussef, our In House imitator, was as ever on hand to amuse the kids who enjoy his show a lot. Mrs Rolla Safa once more intervened to convince the singer Joseph Attie to perform for the kids. We cannot thank enough Rolla for her constant help and support. As for Joseph Attie his generosity is heartwarming. We thank all of them in the name of the children. A big thank you also to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success. Of course a special thanks to FATHER CHRISTMAS!!!

USJ – CSH Pastoral Activity

Members of USJ-CSH pastoral group visited the kids on the inpatient floor on December 30, 2009. The group performed animation activities, played music and distributed gifts to the children.

StarAcademy’s Bash and Lara Visit the CCCL

Star Academy 8 contestants Lara Iskandar and Mohamad Bash wanted to celebrate Christmas with CCCL kids. They visited the center inpatient and outpatient units on December 30, 2009. CCCL patients were so excited to sing with them and of course take photos. Lara and Bash distributed souvenirs to all CCCL kids present on that day.

Dar El Sadek Activity
Every last Friday of each month, the kids enjoy the visit of Dar El Sadek group who play with them and perform entertainment activities. Dar El Sadek group has been visiting our kids regularly for more than 2 years.
