This is the way Elio expresses his love for his mother and support system. 

There is something different about the shy little boy with his white box. A glimmer in his eye that makes us all stop in our tracks, Elio is a 2-year-old cancer patient, suffering from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). 

Every Friday, we get the chance to start our morning with a smile. It brings warmth and joy to the entire center.

Standing by the big door awaits Elio, searching for the little white box that is explicitly saved for him. We see the spark of life in his big brown eyes that we had been missing before he found his white box. You might wonder: What does this box contain? To Elio, this box is filled with his magical tools. From colorful crayons to stickers, Elio's box escapes him from reality into a world of imagination and fantasies. His magic box is his own place to build dreams and hope. 

The center is not just a place where we create hope for children, but where children remind us of hope deep inside us that we forget.It is a place for them to draw and color out their own lives and dreams.
