He had been dancing since he was just a little boy, and it was a way for him to express himself and forget about his troubles. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he was heartbroken that he couldn't dance anymore. But he soon realized that dancing could also be a way to fight cancer. Amir became known as “the dancer of the center”. He would dance everywhere he went, from the hallways to his room, and even during his treatments. He was always moving to the beat, and his energy was contagious. His dance performances became a highlight of the center. He would put on shows for the other patients, the staff, and even the doctors. He would use his dance to bring happiness and hope to the center, and he was able to touch everyone's hearts. He was an inspiration to everyone, especially to the other children who are battling cancer. He taught everyone at CCCL to never give up and to always keep dancing, no matter what life throws at you. He will be missed, but the memory of him will always be a source of inspiration and we are so excited for what’s yet to come for him and for his new journey and beginning!
