A Smile Worth a Thousand Words
It was a typical September morning at the center, and the staff were preparing for another day of treatments and check-ups. But little did they know that today was going to be different.

Today, they were going to meet Khodor, an 11-year-old boy with a smile that could light up the world; sadly Khodor was diagnosed with cancer.
Yet Khodor's smile, despite the tough treatment, always brightened the room whenever he arrived at the center. His eyes sparkled with joy, and his laughter could be heard from far away. Everyone who met him was surprised to see such a strong happy boy undergo such a difficult experience. Khodor loved coming to the center. He didn't fear the place but instead was always happy to see his friends, instructors, and doctors. His contagious smile earns him the admiration of everyone he meets at CCCL. He never complained or felt sorry for himself, and his bravery touched the hearts of those around him. Khodor had taught us that even in the darkest of times, there is always a reason to smile.
