The Shared Hope
"I didn't know what to expect, but I knew it wasn’t going to be easy." The 17-year-old Shaden was devastated when she received the diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma.

She felt lost and scared, and her hopes for the future seemed bleak.
Her apprehension turned to wonder as she entered the doors of CCCL. The vibrant walls were adorned with colorful artwork created by young patients. The sounds of laughter and the hum of activity filled the air. As she walked through the halls, Shaden saw patients younger than her fighting the same battle with unwavering determination. Their resilience and positivity inspired her. "If they can do it, why can't I?" she thought.
Shaden soon found herself forming bonds with other patients who shared her journey. They became her support system, friends, and strength source. They would talk, laugh, and sometimes cry together, but most importantly, they lifted each other up during the tough times.
"I got my strength from the other patients," Shaden said with a smile. She found comfort in their shared experiences, and their stories of hope and survival fueled her determination to fight her illness with all her might.
