CCCL Leadership Takes a Seat on  Eastern Mediterranean Regional Advisory Committee

The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is proud to announce the appointment of Manal Azhari, Director of Employee Experience and Operations, as a Foundation Standing Member of St. Jude Global’s Eastern Mediterranean Regional Advisory Committee (EM RAC).

She joins Afifa Batool, Deputy General Manager and Head of Marketing & Communications at Indus Hospital & Health Network, Pakistan, who was also recently nominated, highlighting the expanded role of foundation representatives within the EM RAC.

In her new role, Manal brings extensive expertise in operational management, human resources, and the procurement of life-saving medications, ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of CCCL’s operations. She is also actively involved in pediatric cancer advocacy and policy development at local, regional, and global levels.

As a member of the EM RAC, Manal will represent the region at annual Global Alliance meetings, contribute information for progress reports, participate in Alliance initiatives, and share regional developments with Alliance participants. Her responsibilities align closely with CCCL’s outreach and advocacy work.

St. Jude Global’s Eastern Mediterranean Regional Program aims to strengthen regional healthcare networks, build local and national capacity, support education and research initiatives, and ensure access to care for children affected by cancer and crises.

CCCL is honored by this recognition and remains steadfast in its mission to improve survival and quality of life for children with cancer in Lebanon and across the Eastern Mediterranean.
