The Boy Who Sings Through the Storm

The Boy Who Sings Through the Storm

"Have you ever heard courage in the voice of a six-year-old?"

If you walk through the halls of Makassed Hospital, you might hear it, Aboudi’s voice. Bright, and full of life, echoing through corridors even when the world around him feels heavy. At six years old, Aboudi is battling leukemia, a journey filled with exhaustion, needles, and endless hospital visits for the past 5 years. And yet, through it all, he sings.

Singing isn’t just a hobby for Aboudi. It’s how he expresses himself, how he shares his strength with everyone around him. With a pen in his hand, pretending it’s a microphone, he performs his favorite songs, letting every note carry him, courage and joy. Even during art and craft activities, when the room is filled with colors and glue, he pauses everything just to sing, and suddenly, the entire room is smiling.

What’s remarkable is how pure his motivation feels. His singing isn’t for applause, even though he loves it, but it’s for life itself. Each note, each word, carries a determination.

Aboudi teaches us something extraordinary: that strength can be playful, that courage can be sung aloud, and that even in the toughest battles, a child’s heart can radiate hope. His story isn’t just about illness, it’s about living fully, loudly, and with unshakable spirit.

When you hear Aboudi sing, you hear life itself. And somehow, you want to help. You want to join him, to lift him, to make sure the world hears every song he has left to sing.

He may be six. But his voice? It carries the strength of a hundred hearts.

Let Aboudi’s song move you beyond listening. Stand with children like him, by sharing his story and offering kindness wherever you can. Every act of compassion helps make room for more songs, more smiles, and more moments of hope. Let’s make sure Aboudi, and every child fighting like him, never sings alone.
