The program focuses on enhancing pediatric oncology nursing through simulation-based training in medication safety, chemotherapy and biotherapy administration, toxicity management, infection prevention, interdisciplinary communication, and the fundamentals of immunotherapy.
Nurses from Al Zahraa Hospital, Rafik Hariri University Hospital, Makassed Hospital, Haykel Hospital, Hammoud University Medical Center, and Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHN) participated in the training, reinforcing CCCL's commitment to promoting high-quality, standardized pediatric oncology care across Lebanon.
In her opening remarks, Mrs. Christiane Ferzli, Patient Relations Manager at CCCL, emphasized that the program, developed in collaboration with the American University of Beirut Medical Center and supported by AGFUND, reflects a shared commitment to investing in specialized nursing education and improving the quality of care provided to children with cancer nationwide.
Through initiatives like COPE II, CCCL continues to invest in the professional development of healthcare providers alongside its mission of delivering free, world-class treatment to children with cancer, helping strengthen pediatric oncology care throughout Lebanon.
