CCCL Wins “Best Interactive Campaign 2025” at Dubai Humanitarian Global Meeting

We are proud to announce that CCCL has received the “Best Interactive Campaign 2025” award from Dubai Humanitarian at the Annual Members Global Meeting held on April 28 in Dubai.
This award is a recognition of CCCL’s innovative digital fundraising initiatives, which have incorporated Web 3.0 technologies, NFTs, online gaming, and cryptocurrency. Out of more than 80 global member organizations, CCCL was one of only four awardees, placing us among the top humanitarian initiatives of the year.
Representatives from CCCL accepted the award and are participating in DIHAD 2025, opening doors for vital partnerships and international collaboration.
We are honored and inspired to keep pushing boundaries in service of our mission, because every child deserves a chance to heal, to hope, and to live.

Best CEO Award 2022

In October 2022, Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, CCCL General Manager, has been honored with the prestigious UICC Best CEO Award. Her remarkable leadership and dedication have earned her this recognition, along with the privilege of being re-elected to the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) Board of Directors for another 2-year term.
Mrs. Hana's nomination for the Best CEO Award was accepted and shortlisted among two other finalists after careful consideration of 2022's award theme: Leadership Through Crisis. The judges faced a challenging task in selecting one winner and ultimately decided to present the 2022 CEO Award to all three finalists. This exceptional decision reflects the exceptional period we have experienced as a community.
During the UICC General Assembly, Mrs. Hana was commended by UICC Past President Prof. Anil D'Cruz, who highlighted her selfless advocacy and ability to guide the CCCL organization through multiple crises, ensuring the continuity of care and psychosocial support for children with cancer in Lebanon.

With great pride, we announce that our beloved General Manager, Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, has been recognized with the Impact Award presented by the Women Leaders Council of Lebanon. This esteemed honor was bestowed upon Mrs. Choueib during the Hult Prize Dinner held at the Changemaker Festival on October 5, 2022, in the presence of influential individuals, public figures, and media, with the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
Mrs. Hana's journey has been truly remarkable, and her significant impact and outstanding achievements throughout her career have made her deserving of the Impact Award. The Women Leaders Council of Lebanon acknowledges her exceptional leadership and the profound difference she has made, not only in the lives of the children at the center but also as a real leader and role model to our team.

As a distinguished leading institution playing a significant role in the region, the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) has been awarded the Tatweej Academy Award for Leaders and Leadings. On April 30, 2018 , CCCL Founding Board Member and current representative towards the government, Mr. Joseph Asseily, received the award and the Official Velvet Scarf Golden Medallion in a ceremony held at Intercontinental Hotel Festival City, Dubai, in the presence of regional and local renowned representatives from various prominent and leading institutions.
CCCL WINS THE BEST NGO AWARD AT THE BLOM BANK BEIRUT MARATHON

The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL)'s the Best NGO trophy for this year at the BLOM Bank Beirut Marathon. The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday 28 November at 6:00 PM at the Lancaster Plaza Raouche where Lama Dinnawi, CCCL Fundraising Coordinator represented the CCCL. This award was given to the CCCL upon the following criteria’s: the number of registered participants under the NGO, Facebook posts, on time registration, on time payment settlement. Where the CCCL came first with 1366 registered participants + 383 people registering for you online = 1749 participants. From everyone at the CCCL, here’s a BIG thank you to all our dear Marathoners! God bless you all and to the Beirut Marathon organizers who are organizing this amazing event!
CCCL Wins "Top Performing NGO on Social Media" - MESMA 2017

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL)'s won the “Middle East Social Media Award (MESMA) 2017” under the category “Top Performing NGO on Social Media”. The award was announced and awarded on Wednesday at the “Middle East Social Media Festival” which is a 2-day festival at the Beirut Arab University where CCCL’s PR & Communications Coordinator, Aya Sophia Khairallah represented the CCCL. MESMA winners were determined through an online survey sponsored by Ipsos MENA, where they asked hundreds of Lebanese marketing experts to vote for each category. CCCL Wins the Social Economic Award (SEA) 2016

The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon’s Oasis of Hope won at the 6th Social Economic Awards (SEA) 2016. The award was delivered and celebrated during a prestigious ceremony on November 26th at the Casino du Liban. The Social Economic Awards is a yearly award ceremony covered by MTV highlighting and awarding the best CSR initiatives in the region, while providing a crossroad to our diverse community; and inspiring people as well as institutions, through their commitment to excellence and wide expertise. The CCCL launched the CCCL Oasis of Hope in Beirut earlier this April for our 14th anniversary: a public mobile photography exhibition of 8 themes showcasing our patients’ photos and representing “What Helped Them Conquer Cancer”. Through this exhibition, we see their hopes and dreams and sense evermore, the CCCL’s commitment to saving lives and celebrating hope. The CCCL’s Oasis of Hope will roam the different areas of Lebanon, spreading hope and the CCCL cause.

Also, The CCCL General Manager, Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, has also been awarded by “The Bizz” award the World Leader Businessperson of 2016.The awards are given by the World Confederation of Businesses which was founded in 2004 in Houston, Texas with a primary mission to promote worldwide business development and recognizing and boosting the growth of businesses and business people. It’s a worldwide entity recognizing leaders and leading businesses from countries around the world. The CCCL Wins “Best Idealistic NGO 2015” for Healthcare Tuesday

Beirut - On Tuesday September 29, 2015, and for the 2nd consecutive year, the Quality Systems International Paris (QSI Paris) held the “Best Idealistic NGO 2015” award ceremony at the USJ campus. This initiative and ceremony was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and in collaboration with the General Directorate of NGOs at the Ministry of Interior Affairs and Municipalities.
During this ceremony, the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) was awarded the “Best Idealistic NGO 2015” for healthcare; after the latter had applied back in May 2015.In addition to the healthcare sector, the “Best Idealistic NGO 2015” awards NGOs in the women’s empowerment and refugees sectors. The evening consisted of speeches by representatives from QSI, UNDP, Ministry of Social Affairs, and Ministry of Interior Affairs and Municipalities; and after announcing the awardees, Mr. Ali Jaafar, CCCL Fundraising Executive, representing the CCCL, received the award and thanked the organizers and officials for their initiative and award recognizing the impeccable work done at the CCCL to fulfill its noble lifesaving mission.
CCCL Wins the Arab Strategic Website Award under NGO Category

On Monday, September 29, 2014, CCCL was awarded the "Arab Strategic Website Award" by the Pan Arab Excellence Awards Academy during a prestigious ceremony that took place at Al Murooj Rotana Dubai. This award ceremony brought together prominent dignitaries whose actions and achievements in their related fields have strongly influenced our Arab region with significant authorities, companies and establishments from various Arab countries; such as the Ministry Of Tourism of Oman, the prominent political Kuwaiti newspaper Al Anbaa, the Ministry of Energy of Dubai , the Palm Hotel and many others. Ms. Georgette Aoude, CCCL PR & Communications Coordinator, and Mr. Ali Jaafar, CCCL Fundraising Executive were there to receive this award, which was granted to CCCL under the NGO category.
A speech was also delivered, highlighting the importance of CCCL online presence, and mainly the important role that CCCL is playing in the region as a Center of Excellence and a Home of Hope. The speech got everyone's full attention and compassion, in addition to a nice documentary about the center which brought tears to people's eyes. CCCL team was honored to be joined at this event by CCCL board member Mrs. Sallama Al Sayegh and Mrs. Zeina Khayyat, the daughter of our board member Mrs. Mona Sidaoui. CCCL Wins the Prestigious Sharjah Award of Voluntary Work

The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is glad to share with its supporters that it was nominated for the Sharjah Voluntary Work Award for its volunteer and humanitarian mission and work and has gladly won the award! Under the presidency of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Member of the UAE Supreme Council Ruler of Sharjah, The Sharjah Voluntary Work Award ceremony was held on Thursday 16 January 2014, at the Al Razi Hall in Sharjah University.
The Award is considered as the first of its kind in the State as well as in the Arab World due to its comprehensiveness in the areas and categories of honoring, and it certainly urges the formation of the balanced Islamic character, and building up the united Islamic society where its members are correlated with fraternity in belief and ideology, and the consequent solidarity, support, brotherliness and cooperation. Mr. Paul Edde, Chairman for the CCCL International Outreach Committee, received the award on behalf of CCCL.

CCCL website wins Golden award

On Thursday November 6, 2008, The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL)’s website was granted the Golden award in Lebanon Web Awards competition 2008 for the medical category, during a prestigious event held in the Regency Palace Hotel. This event was attended by the winners of the competition in addition to VIPs in the ICT field, governmental personalities as well as economics, academics, diplomatic, socials, bankers, media and other guests from different Arab countries.
Representing the CCCL, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Salim Zeenni, Secretary of the Board Mr. Paul Edde, board member Dr. Cesar Bassim, General Manager Mrs. Hana Choueib, as well as CCCL fundraising and administrative team all attended the event.
