HPV Program
A program aiming to protect childhood cancer survivors, irrespective of their gender, from facing another battle against cancer in adulthood.
CCCL’s HPV program was launched in 2021, following WHO’s global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer as a public health problem by meeting the 90%-70%-90% targets:
a. 90% of girls fully vaccinated by the age of 15.
b. 70% of the women are screened by the age of 35 and then 45.
c. 90% of the women with pre cancer and cancer are treated and managed.
In 2021, we administered the vaccine to the youth and our survivors through the champions circle club. Being the advocates and voices of cancer patients, the HPV program is continued through the year 2023 through hosting awareness sessions on HPV and the importance of the vaccine intake at a young age.
