CCCL UK’s First Auction Gala Dinner in Support of CCCL Unites Donors in London for a Life-Saving Cause
The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon – UK (CCCL UK Ltd.), chaired by Mrs. Maria Sukkar, hosted its charity gala dinner on Friday, October 11, 2025, at the Savoy Hotel in London, bringing together around 200 guests to raise funds for the treatment of children with cancer in Lebanon.

The event was attended by Mr. Marwan Francis, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Lebanon to the UK; Mr. Joseph Asseily, Chairman of CCCL’s Board of Trustees; Secretary to CCCL Board Mrs. Asmahan Zein and Board Member Mrs. Yola Najem; and CCCL General Manager Mrs. Hana Chaar Chouaib.
In her remarks, Mrs. Maria Sukkar expressed gratitude to Mrs. Rima Kabbani and the UK committee for their dedication, emphasizing that every contribution helps bring hope and healing to children in need. Mr. Asseily highlighted that CCCL now provides free treatment for over 50% of children with cancer in Lebanon, achieving cure rates above 80%.
The evening featured a touching speech by Lynn El-Hajj, a two-time cancer survivor, and a lively performance by Dj Rodge, followed by an art and jewelry auction that helped raise vital funds for the Center’s mission.
CCCL UK reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to ensuring that no child should die of cancer because their family cannot afford treatment.
