On May 23, 2022, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) hosted an Eastern Mediterranean Regional dialogue that tackled UICC's strategy 2022 for the coming years.

CCCL UK's director and general manager of our sister charity CCCL in Lebanon and UICC Board Member, Mrs. Hana El Chaar introduced the discussion of better cancer control policies and the changes we are aiming for as cancer advocates. The regional conversation covered advocacy work, regional opportunities, World Cancer Day plans, and the challenges we could be facing in the region. Mrs. Hana closed the session with her remarks based on the discussion and the meeting she attended in Geneva for the UICC board members. It was a successful and fruitful discussion.
