CCCL UK’s Beneficiary Launches the HPV Vaccine Program
On the occasion of World Health Day- April 7, the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), CCCL UK’s beneficiary, launched the CCCL HPV Vaccine Program which ensures access and coverage of the HPV vaccine to children in Lebanon and provides the needed awareness around HPV and its relation to cervical cancer.

The launching session organized by the CCCL included an awareness presentation about HPV and its relation to cervical cancer featuring Dr. Ghina Ghazeeri, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Dr. Bassel Bachir, Assistant Professor of Urology, both from the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC).
Doctors highlighted the safety of the HPV vaccine which has no side effects and its importance in protecting against the human papillomavirus (HPV) which can cause cervical cancer in females and other cancers in males.
