A Night of Giving in the Bekaa: CCCL Hosts Christmas Fundraising Dinner to Support Children with Cancer

Nearly 160 supporters gathered to stand with children fighting cancer and to help keep CCCL’s mission alive: ensuring that every child in Lebanon receives free, life-saving treatment, no matter the circumstances.

During the event, Zeina Chami, CCCL’s Fundraising & Events Executive, thanked guests for their continued commitment, emphasizing that their solidarity keeps the Center’s mission moving forward even in difficult times. She highlighted that the Center has treated more than 5,500 children to date, with survival rates surpassing 80%, all funded entirely by charitable contributions.

The evening carried deep emotion, with cancer survivors Gabriel Yammine and Jessy Fakhry sharing powerful reflections on their journeys and the importance of ensuring every child receives the same chance at hope and healing.

Adding a personal touch to the night, Sama Chtaura’s owner, Omar El Maiss, spoke about the Bekaa community’s long tradition of generosity and how this event naturally grew from a shared desire to give back during the holiday season. He emphasized that the collaboration between Sama Chtaura, Ceen Events, and CCCL represents a unified commitment to supporting children in need.

The program featured heartfelt musical performances, including saxophonist Maher Mhanna and the vibrant band “Aal 08,” who brought festive energy to the evening. Guests also participated in a charity auction, which included a special timepiece donated by Christian Bonja, further contributing to the fundraising efforts.
